Scott Henson, DDS
Every time I see one of my patients smile, I smile; because I was able to participate in something bigger than myself. I love the relationships I get to develop with my patients over the course of their treatment and enjoy being a part of their lives. My patients are the best around, and I love learning about their personal interests and ambitions.
Education and Continuing Education
I attended Virginia Tech University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2002. I continued on to Virginia Commonwealth University, earning my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2006, my Master of Science degree in Dentistry, and Certificate in Orthodontics in 2008.
My profession affords me the luxury to continuously learn. I am always learning new and innovative ways to provide the most current treatment to my patients. I attend courses and seminars on the newest and best treatments orthodontics has to offer and am a founding branch member of the Seattle Study Club for Southwest Portland. Being able to grow professionally and on a personal level with my patients is a unique aspect I feel my profession affords.

In the Practice
Our office rocks! We love to laugh and crack jokes, and there’s never elevator music in the background. We’ve created an atmosphere that is energetic and contagiously fun. No matter what mood you are in when you come to the office, you are going to leave in a better mood!
Our office team is a rockin' bunch of people! They are a fun, engaging and knowledgeable group of folks. They are sensitive to each patient's comfort level and actively interested in our patients’ lives. They love to go the extra mile in making sure our patients have a fun and comfortable experience while visiting our office. They are the most caring group of individuals, and I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with them.
Outside the Office
I am a native of Roanoke, Virginia, and moved to Portland almost three years ago with my wife, Jenell. We have two pets: my beloved Bernese mountain dog, Zula, and our furry Maine Coon cat, Izzy. My favorite hobby is alpine skiing. I also enjoy mountain climbing, kayaking and cycling. I have the travel bug, and I am always looking for a new travel adventure!
