I attended Virginia Tech University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2002. I continued on to Virginia Commonwealth University, earning my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2006, my Master of Science degree in Dentistry, and Certificate in Orthodontics in 2008. I am certified provider of Invisalign for adults and teens. I have been published in the Journal of the American Association of Orthodontists and when asked, review scientific research for the Angle Orthodontist. Also, I am an associate professor in the graduate department of Orthodontics at OHSU in Portland.
I am always learning new and innovative ways to provide the most current treatment to my patients. I attend courses and seminars on the newest and best treatments orthodontics has to offer and am an active member of Alpha Omego Seattle Study Club in Yamhill County.
Our office rocks! We love to laugh and crack jokes, and there’s never elevator music in the background. We’ve created an atmosphere that is energetic and contagiously fun. No matter what mood you are in when you come to the office, you are going to leave in a better mood!
Our office team is a rockin’ bunch of people! They are a fun, engaging and knowledgeable group of folks. They are sensitive to each patient’s comfort level and actively interested in our patients’ lives. They love to go the extra mile in making sure our patients have a fun and comfortable experience while visiting our office. They are the most caring group of individuals, and I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with them.
Outside the Office
I am a native of Roanoke, Virginia, and moved to Portland almost 10 years ago with my wife, Jenell. We have a son, Henrik, and two pets: my beloved Bernese mountain dog, Zula, and our furry Maine Coon cat, Izzy. In my free time, you’ll find me outside! I enjoy competing in triathalons, cycling on and off the road and hitting the mountain for great skiing in the winter. I also enjoy writing and have a penchant for classic lit and poetry.
